Jane Taylor - Counsellor

I am an Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy). Registered Number 382344.

I am trained in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and work to the BACP’s  Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and it’s Professional Conduct Procedures.

I have six years post qualifying experience during which I've worked for Counselling Services in Bromley and Tonbridge. I'm recognised by several medical insurance companies and have run my own private practice for two years.

My training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is key to my work, being present in the moment in a compassionate way is the bedrock of all I do.

My professional background in visual arts enhances my way of working. When words feel insufficient or are a stumbling block, I offer clients alternative ways of expressing themselves. Image cards, drawing, sand-tray work and other resources can help to access suppressed, difficult or subconscious material, facilitating the counselling process.

I hold a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Certificate, and full indemnity insurance. I am also registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a Data Controller.
